This summer, Harbour Island Consulting (HIC) was proud to welcome Dylan Woodruff as our 2025 intern. A rising junior at the University of Rhode Island majoring in Supply Chain and Operations Management with a minor in Business Analytics, Dylan brought curiosity, work ethic, and a sharp analytical mindset to every task.

From day one, Dylan immersed himself in the operational and regulatory complexities that define our work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, bonded warehouse operations, and international trade strategy. Whether reviewing regulatory frameworks, conducting market research, or contributing to client-facing materials, Dylan demonstrated a strong grasp of both the technical and practical aspects of the trade environment.

In addition to his project work, Dylan participated in CONECT (Coalition of New England Companies for Trade) calls and virtual events in a listening role, gaining firsthand exposure to the ongoing dialogue between government and industry stakeholders. His initiative in engaging with these conversations reflects both his commitment to learning and our firm’s belief in supporting early-career professionals.

Dylan also leveraged his academic foundation and leadership experience—especially his role as Vice President of URI’s Consulting Club—to make thoughtful, real-world contributions to our consulting team. His professionalism, attention to detail, and readiness to engage with complex issues left a positive mark on our work and culture.

We’re proud to have supported Dylan’s development this summer and excited to watch his career unfold. Harbour Island Consulting remains committed to mentoring future leaders who will shape the next generation of global trade and supply chain solutions.
